The Harrisburg Area Alumni Chapter for IUP's annual vintage and new sports card show on
February 15-17, 2008, at the Harrisburg Mall was the most successful show in the
Chapter's history, with the Chapter providing a gift of $16,000 to the Foundation
for IUP towards the Chapter’s scholarship fund. The February show was highlighted
with appearances by Super Bowl XL Champion Pittsburgh Steelers' Heath Miller and
Larry Foote; Harrisburg native and Cincinnati Bengals’ running back Kenny Watson;
and New York Yankees great Hector Lopez. To date, the Chapter has raised
over $97,000 from all of its previous sports card shows.
The Chapter's next show is scheduled for February 20-22, 2009, at the Harrisburg Mall.
